Shelly was born and raised in Texas, and she graduated from Duncanville High School in Dallas County. The native Texan helped the Duncanville girls’ basketball team set the state record for most consecutive victories and win two state championships. Shelly was accepted into Texas Tech School of Law after graduating from the University of North Texas with honors. She returned to Dallas after law school, and represented hospitals and physicians against medical malpractice claims for the next six years. From that experience, she discovered how insurance companies avoided paying claims with tactical procedures, and now she defends injured Texans with negligence claims. Shelly joined Dallas Injury Lawyers of Eberstein & Witherite, LLP, in 2004, and she continues to showcase her courtroom experience, commitment, and support for victims and families. She is well respected by her peers in the legal profession. Texas Monthly Magazine has recently recognized Shelly as a prominent Rising Star, an honor received by top attorneys who are 40 years old or younger, or attorneys who have been in practice for less than 10 years.
Shelly has been admitted to practice Texas law since 1998, and she is licensed to practice in all federal and state courts in Texas. She is a current member in several national, statewide, and Dallas-area trial associations, including the Dallas and Collin County Young Lawyer organizations. She is a wife and a proud mother of two boys, and her commitment to the Dallas area also includes her church and PTA communities.
